MY DESIGN ETHOS

“When I am working on a problem I never think about beauty. I only think about how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong.”
— R. Buckminster Fuller

Beauty is not the goal. It is the result of an elegant solution to a complex problem.

Nothing is Original. Convention and tradition should be neither venerated nor ignored but responded to.

About

My name is Cooper Pertchik. I am a 4th-year architecture student at the Tulane University School of Architecture. I am in the 5-year B.Arch program and am on track to graduate in the Spring of 2027.

I have experience in architectural design, graphic design, construction, and construction management.

I am also an artist and musician. I have displayed paintings at the Naples Philharmonic and had work published in a remake of the collection, “Portraits of Courage”. I have played guitar, bass, and sang in shows across the East Coast.
